Our Story

Our story began back in 1999 when we launched jobsgopublic, the first job board dedicated solely to the public sector. Over the next two years, we created our first online job application form – again, a first for the public sector – and were chosen by the Local Government Association to run LGJobs, a dedicated job board for local government.

1999

By 2005, we had built our first regional job portal, SurreyJobs, and rolled out our first recruitment management system – the forerunner to today’s applicant tracking system.

2005

Fast-forward to 2011 and we launched our candidate sourcing service, Smartsearch (rebranded in 2020 as Tri-Source).

2011

In 2015, we integrated our ATS with jobsgopublic, then in the following year we launched our pay-per-click (PPC) recruitment marketing service and won Recruitment Campaign of the Year at the PPMA Awards.

2015

We enhanced our PPC capability with the introduction in 2018 of our programmatic advertising service.

2018

Then we launched our recruiting analytics service in 2019, allowing us to benchmark performance data and devise the most effective recruitment campaigns. In 2019 we also won the PPMA Award for Best Social Media Recruitment Campaign in recognition of our work with Southwark Council.

I’m the founder and CEO of JGP, 23 years on from setting up the business, I’ve learnt so much and continue to. I lead our team and determine our strategic direction, with a particular interest in sales, marketing and product development

Rugby is the sport I most like to watch, golf is the sport I most like to play, cooking and renovating the house are my other passions

STEVEN DOYLE

Head of Client Success

I’m a 38 year old dad of two. Northern Ireland is “home” but I haven’t lived there since 2004. I’ve worked in Ed Tech and E-Recruitment for the last 11 years and joined JGP in 2016. I lead our Client Success channel, living and breathing our company aim to help organisations with genuine social purpose, engage, attract and recruit the very best people.

I enjoy travelling, restoring old motorcycles and playing golf although since becoming a parent for the first time in June 2018 (planned), and then again in June 2019 (accident), I now have no extra time for playing golf and no extra money to buy motorcycles.

WILL WRIGHT

Head of Product & Insight

I joined the JGP team in 2020 and bring over 10 years of marketing and product experience. In my role as Head of Product & Insight, I head up our marketing and product development, making sure we have an innovative and progressive offer that meets your needs now and in the future.

For me, Leicester City lifting the Premier League trophy in 2016 remains the greatest sporting achievement in history!

JADE SMITH

PPC & Marketing Executive

I’m an English Literature and Linguistics graduate and joined JGP’s PPC and marketing team just over a year ago. My role mainly consists of the delivery of advertising campaigns for clients, attracting the best candidates to your vacancies.

I’m fascinated by languages and have researched syntax and typology in Spanish, Korean, Galician, Japanese, Early New High German and Old English. 

SHELDON POLLARD

Client Success & Marketing Executive

I joined the delivery team just over a year ago after graduating from university. I’m a real problem solver and love to help people. As a member of the support desk my role is helping both clients and candidates to utilise the system, creating website visuals and making job adverts look pretty. I also enjoy dipping my toes into the marketing team from time to time.

I love to travel and am fascinated by different cultures, which has enabled me to live in three different countries (so far)!

Mayowa Oduola

Product Manager

I’ve recently joined JGP as a Product Manager with a passion for making user experience as enjoyable as possible. I truly love user research, understanding user needs, getting down to the nitty gritty of what makes a great product and channelling these insights to shape product vision.

I’m a dancer, I love to travel and play the guitar (no I will not be playing Wonderwall – Oasis at an open mic-night, this should be banned).

JOE MARSHALL

I have over 8 years of experience within recruitment and account management with my passion being to build trust among my clients. I manage our partnerships to make their lives easier when it comes to finding candidates.

I’m a dad of 2, football mad and have an unhealthy competitive streak.

DANNY FRONDIGOUN

I am a 32 year old Resourcing Solutions Specialist from Rochester, I have worked at JGP for just over a year, my role is to liaise with clients to ensure the best recruitment solutions for their roles.

I recently had a midlife crisis, I shaved my head, got a tattoo and bought a car.
